Andy would be 80 today if the bugger was still alive! That's not all that much younger than my Mom! Somehow there is little comparison between the two though. Although, Mom did give me Campbells Chicken Noodle soup when ill!
I always replace 'Silver Screen' with 'Super Freeeeeak' in Bowie's lyrics! It just works better for me! You really have to put some gusto and venom into the Freak part though! I also change 'Andy walking Andy tired' to 'Andy dancing Andy smile'
One of the very first pieces of art I can remember seeing, in the flesh, as a child was Andy's 'Silver Elvis'. I absolutely hated it. It's just a blown up film still with some paint on it. I said to my Dad 'I could do that'!
